About the Event

In December 2025, Nanchang Project’s team and our selected Adoptee Ambassadors embarked on a two-week journey across Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region to conduct personal and community-level search work. Our Ambassadors Elizabeth, Jennalin, and Maddi engaged in their own personal searches while also helping the larger Guangxi adoptee community by gathering valuable research, photos, videos, and contact information.

During the online event, we will highlight birth family stories, trip outcomes, spotlight our Ambassadors’ individual experiences, offer a moderated Q&A, and announce the province of Nanchang Project’s next search trip!

NCPT Background

The Nanchang Project (NCPT) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2018, fully operated by volunteers. Our mission is to help re-connect Chinese adoptees worldwide with their roots in China, supporting their search for birth families, origins, and identity. To date, we have assisted in 120+ reunions and registered over 600 birth families. We are proudly also the only organization of its kind that is co-led by Chinese adoptees and adoptive parents, with the intent to be fully run by adult adoptees in the future.
